Terms of Use
The rules for using the Dock Switcher app and this website, in plain language where we can.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to the Dock Switcher app for macOS (“Dock Switcher” or “the app”) and the website at dockswitcher.com (“the website”), both provided by Omevi, LLC (“Omevi”, “we”, “us”). By using the app or the website, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.
1. The app license
Dock Switcher is distributed through the Mac App Store. Your license to use the app is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). Omevi, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content, as described in the Standard EULA. Where these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict regarding the app, the Standard EULA controls.
Dock Switcher changes your Mac’s Dock by updating the Dock’s preferences and restarting the Dock, with the Automation permission you grant in macOS. You are responsible for the Docks you create and the items you add to them.
2. Purchases and refunds
Dock Switcher costs $4.99 (US dollars, or the local equivalent shown in the Mac App Store) as a one-time purchase. There is no subscription. All payments, Family Sharing, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms. Omevi cannot issue refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
3. Using the website
You may browse the website and share links to it. You agree not to misuse it, including by attempting to disrupt it, gain unauthorized access to it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
The website, including its text, design, graphics and the Dock Switcher name and icon, is owned by Omevi and protected by intellectual property laws. Members of the press may use the materials on our press page to write about Dock Switcher. Otherwise, please don’t copy or reuse website content without our permission. Apple, Mac, macOS, iCloud, Siri and Mac App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Other names may be trademarks of their respective owners.
The website may link to other sites, such as the Mac App Store. We are not responsible for the content or practices of sites we don’t control.
4. Docks you share
You can export Docks as .dockswitcher files and share them. You are responsible for the files you share and import. Only import files from people you trust.
5. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. In short, Dock Switcher collects no personal data.
6. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the app and the website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We work hard to make Dock Switcher reliable, but we do not warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will work with every configuration of macOS. Dock Switcher includes a backup of your original Dock and a Restore Original Dock option. We recommend keeping regular backups of your Mac.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Omevi will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app or the website. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app or the website will not exceed the amount you paid for Dock Switcher. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived by contract.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version here and update the effective date above. If you keep using the app or the website after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
