One Mac. A Dock for
Your Mac has one Dock, so it ends up holding the apps for every project you’ve ever started. Dock Switcher gives each kind of work its own calm, uncluttered Dock.
Two dozen icons, tiny and hard to tell apart. The design tools sit next to the code editor, and the one you need is always at the far end.
A focused Dock for each kind of work, with only the apps it needs. Switch when your work changes, and your Dock changes with it.

The first time you switch, macOS asks whether Dock Switcher may control the Dock. This is a standard macOS Automation permission. Dock Switcher changes your Dock the same way System Settings does: it updates the Dock’s own preferences and restarts the Dock. Without this permission, the Dock can’t change. You can review it any time in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Automation › Dock Switcher.
That’s normal. To apply a new Dock, Dock Switcher restarts the macOS Dock, just as System Settings does when you change some Dock options. It takes about a second, and the Dock redraws with your new apps and settings. Your open apps and windows aren’t affected.
No. Before your first switch, Dock Switcher automatically backs up your original Dock. You can bring it back any time with one click on Restore Original Dock. You can also capture your current Dock as a new Dock in Dock Switcher, so it’s always one switch away.
Yes. Turn on iCloud sync and your Docks appear on every Mac signed in to your iCloud account. There’s no new account to create. If a Dock includes an app that isn’t installed on one of your Macs, Dock Switcher simply skips it there.
